My Worst Secret Is…

I am a State Trooper in a Southern State and there are always a lot of DUI pullovers.  We even see them in the middle of the day, I guess you can saywithout jobs a lot have turned to drinking.  Well since my profession doesn’t pay that well I  have to make some on the side to pay all the expenses of a young family.  When I pull over a drunk, I will check them and if they are close to the limit or just over I will just let them know its $300 on the spot penalty and let them go on their way.  I usually make a extra $1200 a week just by taking bribes from Drunks.

  1. You’re disgusting. When the drunk driver you let bribe you kills someone, I hope the guilt racks your slide, and you off yourself.

    • HAha

    • you’re awesome, keep taking bribes, but go easy on the marijuana offenders please.

  2. What everyone said. Drunk driving is dangerous.

  3. i hope they put you in jail, asshole

  4. If i ever get pulled over by you whilst drunk, I hope you pull me over. I woud gladly pay $300 to avoid all the legal trouble. Keep up the work my good man, the world needs more cops like you.

  5. You are a great cop. You should do this for drug offenses also. Keep up the good work!

    • Another man with a great name advocating for drugs my kid of stuff. I hope all cops let the drug offenders go!!! More cops should be like this guy.

  6. Keep sticking it to the man, officer. Why should the government get that money to spend on yet another dead-end project? Thumbs up to you.

  7. Nice!

Atleast they don’t have to go to jail.. Your a good man in my book.

  8. Wow, you are all hypocrites.

    • Dude, do you even know what that word means? All signs point to “no”.

  9. If you pay is too low, get a different job or cut back on your lifestyle. It is no excuse for extortion. You are just rationalizing.

    • Extortion is $9000 in court fees

  10. For all of you people freaking out about drunk driving… Talk to your parents about when they were college age. This guy would be a hero in my book if he didn’t accept bribes, but forced people to take a taxi home or something. Either way… What he is doing is better than most police, considering how retardedly subjective measuring blood alcohol levels is in regard to effecting pinpoint motor skills regardless of body weight. Thanks MADD for fucking shit up.

    • Well said, Nate.

  11. While I don’t see you as being evil (i.e., I trust that you know the difference between a dangerous drunk and a point o’ eight borderliner) . . . this is 2009 buddy-boy.
My phone is set to record everything with a push of a single button.

  12. You’re a police officer. Do your job or find another. You’re trusted to protect the law, not flaunt it.

Whenever a police officer extorts or bribes someone, they’re no better than the criminal and they don’t deserve to wear a badge.

    • ok dudly do-right.

  13. I’ve always said it, I want to be dirty in whatever job I’m in. There’s always way more money when you’re taking bribes, cash considerations, and payoffs. If I was judging the Oscars…I’d be a multi-millionaire!

  14. All cops are dirty.

    • Negative. The ratio of bad cops to good cops is much much much lower than the ratio of bad people to good people.

      • The numbers say otherwise.

Even after all the other blue gang members help cover up their crimes, cops are more likely to beat their wives and children and more likely to commit rape and murder than the general population.

In fact, they fit the psych profile of an organized crime member with everything from steroid abuse to murder for hire.

        • This is accurate. I attest to it. (if that even means shit online)

  15. People!!! listen to what he said, if they are close to the limit he does a favor for you. I’m sure if the person is way past the limit he couldn’t do anything about it but arrest you. He’s actually doing everyone a favor, they are avoiding like 10k in bills from that stupid dui.

  16. If someone is right at .08 or .10, who cares? Sounds like a win-win to me. You make a couple of bucks, and the guy who had 3 beers drives home without having to face months of legal headaches.

  17. Even if Ive had 0 or 3 duis, i would gladly pay a cop. Hes just as much as an end user of our corrupt government as any of us. Pay him off. Not the crooked city, state, and federal governments. Thank you highway patrol officer. Now if you could stop giving me tickets cause my plates are expired. SHIT! :D

  18. Fake! This is not a real Law Enforcement officer.

  19. We should legalize drunk driving anyway. I’m serious: read this article:

EDITED *Please No Links in comments*

Why do we punish people for simply driving drunk if they drive well? Yes, if they’re swerving around the roads, pull them over for dangerous driving. But if they are just buzzed and driving well, then there is no crime.

If we punish drunk driving, we should punish ANYTHING that affects driving such as not having enough sleep, talking on the cellphone, flipping the dials on the radio, etc.

    • Because the drunk that killed my cousin was driving well right up to the point that he made a left hand turn into on-coming traffic. So testified the police officer that was following the drunk driver attempting to visually see if the gent was driving impaired.

  20. As long as we’re not talking way over the limit or someone who obviously shouldn’t be driving then I don’t really see the problem.

  21. I’ve been saving for months to pay for a DUI. I’d be glad to just keep three crisp bills cliped to my registration.

  22. In my opinion this guy is a hero.

  23. So much flawed logic within these postings.

  24. way over the limit? or just over the limit? Do you think the limit is set wrong? Then work to have the limit adjusted up or down as to your liking. But the limit is the limit so it’s either ‘under’, ‘at’ or ‘over’ the limit. If you want a ‘way over the limit’ that would be a second limit, no? So what would the first limit be for? Bribery time?

  25. Why not offer to give them blowjobs for money, instead?

Great way to cover expenses for a young family!

  26. You are without honor. You disgrace the memories of your fallen brothers. I can only hope justice is served in this life or the next.

    • Hahah! That’s right mother fucker.. All you got is hope!
I hope you die on day.. Oh shit, I don’t have to hope for that.. You ARE gonna die!

  27. If a cop offered me that I’d suspect there was something more sinister at play. How many people think your trying to sting them for a worse crime?

Also, so you know your profiting off crime, this is what drug dealers do.

  28. it’s the internet people…..

  29. Woohoo! Score one for the Gipper!

  30. If the guy is capable of driving safely, then I’m in favour of this officer’s actions. Better the money go to a real person than to the state. It’s not like we all don’t already know that the entire ticket / collection process is 99.99999% about extortion and 0.00001% about safety.

  31. It’s scumbucket cops like you that make America the police state it is. arrest people that don’t deserve it (non violent marijuana users) and let people who do deserve it, like these drunk assholes you talk about, get away with it. You’re risking my life and everybody else’s and you should be reprimanded and fired. Good day, sir pork a lot.

    • Calm down son. It’s a hoax. The OP is not a real LEO.

  32. I agree, this officer is doing himself, and all of us a GREAT service. Don’t listen to these negative comments. I had a DUI and only had two beers they checked me several times and I was barely over the limit. It was not fair and very expensive for someone in college. I would have gladly have paid this guy $300 to save thousands.

Keep doing your job, you have sound judgment in my mind and your not doing anything any one of us would do. Just watch out for those people trying to throw you under the bus for helping them out. Those pesky phones record everything so ask them for their phone before you say anything.

Keep up the good work buddy!

  33. Christ, you can’t *all* be that dumb. How many people these days, especially someone just at a bar, have $300 on them, in cash? Very few, I bet. Then what, does he give out his bank account details for payment? Or pretend the fine was a mistake? He sure as hell doesn’t give out an official form, because he’d never see the money from that.

Most people who are just over will realise they are being scammed too, especially ay 0.5 or 0.8.

This is so obviously bullshit, it pains me to see so many reddit people (redditors? Lame word) buy this. Think.

    Andrew.

    • “Most people who are just over will realise they are being scammed too, especially ay 0.5 or 0.8″

Who in their right mind if they had the money would pick having the fine and going to court and all the legal fee’s over a measly $300 fine….It doesn’t matter if you feel scammed. $300 compared to 5-10k is well worth it IMO.

  34. I applaud you, sir! Please keep up the good work. It is a fallacy that a single BAC number affects all people equally, and that beyond a MADD-induced threshold, people are necessarily dangerous. You realize that is not the case, and the people you stop obviously appreciate the generous offer you provide. For what it’s worth, I regularly carry over $300 in cash – if I’m ever pulled over, I pray it will be by you my good man. I’ll happily help you put your kids through school in order to avoid a license suspension or worse!

  35. This isn’t real. Everyone carries plastic and 4 drunks per week aren’t carrying that much cash.

  36. ^^

  37. he DID say that he only does this if they are at the limit or just over, which these days means that they are only buzzed or tipsy at the most…

  38. Fucking Sweet! You RULE!

  39. This was probably written by someone who got stopped by a cop and paid the “penalty”. This was written for revenge. Should have read something like “I was drunk driving. Got stopped. Didn’t want to pay $10000 to settle this matter in court so I gave the cop $300 and he took it.”

  40. If he wants to give them a break thats fine, but taking bribes is a dangerous road to head down.

  41. HAHAHA i wish you would have pulled me over when i got my D.U.I!!!! I had pills too! I woulda hooked you up!

  42. your just a lazy cunt, do your job!

  43. Did I understand correctly that even if the person was close to the legal limit that you give them ‘your’ on the spot fine ? When they are over the limit, what you are doing is milking the system… I think that that’s fine because the system is milking everyone… Even you. But when they are under the limit, you are feeding off of the people that you are charged to protect… Not to mention that you are allowing an intoxicated person who is clearly breaking the law to drive. We all are having difficulty trying to survive in these difficult economic times and you have opted to turn to crime. You have to ask yourself if the expenses you are talking about are real necessities or are they stupid shit that you think that you have to have.

I always think to myself, if I had criminal intent I’d probably join the police force.

I think that you are here because you harbour guilt about what you are doing… Just stop it… Manage like we all have to. Grow your own food or whatever… There are ways.

    Good luck

  44. Once you have broken your oath to serve and protect how far will you go to collect another $300? You have committed crimes you could and eventually will be jailed for. You’ve prostituted your honor, sold your dignity, and crossed a line you cannot uncross. when you are in prison are you going to tell your wife that you give blow jobs for cigarettes? I’ve dealt with many crooked cops in my life and there is nothing more despicable or pathetic than a public servant who has sold his trust. I have no sympathy for you. You can pretend you are doing people a favor and have a clean conscience but you will always have to worry about that polygraph test right around the corner. Good luck with that.

  45. If your best friend was killed in a drunk driving incident, you would probably think differently.

  46. You’re a disgrace to your profession. The FBI should track you down and prosecute you.

  47. Spoken like a true cop! Take advantage of every dollar you can because everyone already hates cops anyways!

  48. y is the price 3 hundred what would happen if they dont have the money
