Loading ...My Worst Secret is…
I worked right across the street from a bus station, the streets around it had heavy traffic. I got off of work early, it was still light out, and started to walk across the street to catch the bus home. Some asshole bumped directly into me and I got a good glimpse of his face and tattoo. A few seconds later a guy walking in front of me just drops dead. Turns out that asshole guy shot him point blank in the head. There were at least 200 other witnesses, so I just went home not giving a statement. I knew I recognized the guy with the tattoo, I had met him a few weeks earlier at a house party. I never told the police, its been almost 6yrs now and they still havent caught him. The guy he shot went to high school with me, but I was too scared to say anything. I could’ve put his killer to justice, but I didnt want to be dragged through court. It still bothers me now.

How fucking lazy and selfish can one be?!?! REALLY, because YOU didn’t want to be dragged through some court process, YOU didn’t say anything? Wow! The person who died was someone else’s loved one. I hope you remember this the next time you need any sort of help.

If you’re on the up-and-up, you should anonymously contact the police, America’s Most Wanted, or any law enforcement. Do it from a third party phone. If you had shared this info years ago, the police might have gotten this guy to confess and wouldn’t have had to go to court. They still may be able to get a confession. It’s not too late, and police want to solve murders. If this guy hurts somebody else, that’s totally on you because you didn’t try to get him put away. Do it now.
He should have shot you too. It would have probably been for the best.

Fear can make us act in ways we never thougth possible. At the very least you were traumatized by finding someone violently murdered. Get therapy and see if that doesn’t help you to figure out the right thing to do. Good Luck.
